BLUE SAINTS COLOR GUARD

Becky is currently working toward her Masters in Music, with an emphasis in Clarinet Performance, from Texas A&M-Commerce. In 2008 she received her Bachelors of Music Education from McMurry University in Abilene, Tx.

Becky has been performing and teaching for the past thirteen years. Some of the key instructors in her colorguard training include: Estelle Gravois-Murr, Roger Saint Vincent, Robbie Billings, Roman Montoya, and MIkel Burress. Most recently she has performed as part of the Black Gold Winterguard 2010 cast, and also marched the 2006 season with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. She served as Captain for both her high school and college guards.

This past winter season Becky worked with the Wills Point Winterguard as the assistant director helping them earn a silver medal at the 2010 NTCA Championship competition. While in Abilene she served for five years as the Colorguard Director, building the program from the ground up. Under her direction, the “Awesome Cooper Band” Colorguard and Unity Winterguards earned numerous awards including: UIL Sweepskakes, “Outstanding” Colorguard, as well as 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the NTCA Winterguard circuit. She has also choreographed shows and directed camps for many programs including: McMurry Univerisy, Cisco HS, and Rogers Heritage HS.
