Danny Lamoureux - Battery Percussion Arranger & Instructor

Return to 2010 Design & Instructional Staff
Danny began marching and playing music when he was ten years old and has been involved in every band within his school life, and community ever since.
He first joined the Blue Saints Drum & Bugle Corps in 1997 and a year later, won a gold medal in an ODCA (Ontario Drum Corps Association) solo snare competition. In his teen years, Danny began taking on a teaching roll for the Blue Saints’ percussion section, while entering himself in a few DCI I & E competitions and placing very respectfully. Since aging out of the Corps, he has retained his teaching position to this present date.
Concurrently, while exercising his passion for teaching and mentoring youth in Sudbury, he was accepted into the Laurentian University Music Program where he is in his final year of study. Following school, Danny plans to attend teacher’s college in hopes of perusing his dream of teaching music at the high school level. |
