Jack Broumpton - Front Ensemble Arranger / Instructor

Jack Broumpton currently resides in Sudbury On. He has balanced a focus in music education with the Rainbow District School Board, Laurentian University and Cambrian College - where he founded the percussion and jazz programs with performances with some of the most important jazz artists on the Canadian Music scene including Juno Award winners Mike Murley, Kirk MacDonald, Oliver Jones, among many others. His performing experience includes Orchestra London, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, Stratford Festival and the Sudbury Symphony. He has adjudicated for Musicfest Canada, the Northern Ontario Music Festival, the Alcan Jazz Competition and the Ontario Drum Corps Association.

Jack founded the Spirit of the Drum festival and was one of the founders and first president of the Huntington and Sudbury Jazz Societies and has served as the Provincial Chapter President of the Percussive Arts Society. Jack holds Music Degrees from the University of Western Ontario (B.Mus.A), the University of Northern Colorado (M.M) and Nippissing University (B.Ed.)
