Drum Corps and Teaching Experience
Jordan served as one of the Drum Majors for the Capital Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps for their return to DCI in the 2009 season. In 2010 Jordan returned to serve on the administration staff as a Tour Assistant for Capital Regimen. However, due to finances, Capital Regiment decided not to field a corps for the 2010 Season.
In 2007 Jordan served as the Drum Major for the Derby City Knights Mini Corps and went on to serve as a battery tech and percussion arranger from 2008 - Present. Jordan also has served on the board of directors with the Derby City Knights since January 2007.
Jordan Alvey has been the Percussion and Visual Caption Head for the Christian Academy of Louisville School of Fine Arts Marching Band program since fall 2008. In August 2009 Jordan was hired as the Percussion Ensemble Director at Christian Academy and has successfully been building the program from the ground up. Jordan served as the visual caption head and a percussion tech for the Carroll County High School Marching Band from 2007 - 2009. Jordan also served as the percussion caption and visual caption head of Waggener Traditional High School Marching Band fall of 2006 – Fall 2008 as well as the drill writer for Waggener in 2008. Jordan has also worked with many other marching programs as staff/consultant such as Meade County High School Band, and New Washington High School Band.
